Why independent matters

A captive agent sells one company's products. When that company raises rates or loses appetite for your kind of risk, the agent's options end where the brand does. An independent broker works the other direction: start from your situation, then find the carriers that actually want it.

That difference matters most at the edges, and the edges are where we spend a lot of our time: new businesses without a track record, property that standard carriers decline, operations that span categories, risks that need a surplus lines market and someone to explain what that means.

How we work

Quickly, and in plain English. You should not wait days for a response or need a translator for your own policy. We use electronic signatures, virtual meetings, and text messaging, and we keep the intake process short: tell us what you're working on, and we ask the clarifying questions from there.

We're also honest about limits. Not every risk can be placed, not every premium can be beaten, and sometimes the right advice is to stay where you are. You'll hear that from us when it's true.

BrokerPro is run by Lee Benson, an independent broker licensed in Arizona (license #3003002284, NPN #21109565). When you call, text, or email, you're talking to Lee: the same person who quotes your coverage, issues your certificates, and picks up at renewal.

Most of our clients are small businesses in their first year, solo founders, one-person operations, and new LLCs figuring out insurance for the first time. That's often when a lease, a client contract, or a lender first asks for proof of coverage, and it's the work we do most.

What we focus on

Business insurance is our core: general liability, workers comp, commercial auto, professional liability, and the rest of the program, for companies from brand-new LLCs to established operations, and new, first-year businesses make up the biggest share of our book. We have a particular and growing specialty in lessors risk and property owner insurance, including hard-to-place properties. And we round out the picture with personal lines: home, auto, umbrella, flood, and landlord coverage for Arizona families and investors.
